Dear Parents,
We are delighted to welcome you to another fantastic summer at Camp Gan Israel Day Camp! Excitement is building as we prepare for an incredible season filled with fun, friendship, growth, and unforgettable memories.
Our team is working hard to create an outstanding program that will provide each camper with a safe, enriching, and enjoyable experience. We are dedicated to giving your child the very best camp experience possible, and we encourage you to share any questions or concerns you may have so that we can ensure a wonderful summer for every camper.
We are proud to have assembled a highly qualified and experienced staff from across the country. Camp Gan Israel is registered with the New York State Department of Health and is inspected annually by the Monroe County Department of Health.

LOCATION    
Mini Gan Izzy and the Girls Division will once again be located on the beautiful grounds of Hillel Community Day School. The Boys Division will be located at Ora Academy, 139 Winton Road South. The Boys and Girls Divisions will enjoy swimming for most of the summer at the wave pool and Olympic-size pool at R.I.T. and one week at the Nazareth University pool.

SHIRT & ID PICK-UP    
Camp shirts and ID pick-up will take place on Wednesday, June 17, at 3-4:30 PM. At that time, you will also be able to complete any required waivers and purchase additional shirts.

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP    
Drop-off time is from 9:00–9:15 A.M.
Pick-up time is 3:30 P.M. from Hillel and 3:45 P.M. from TBE.
Additional details regarding exact drop-off and pick-up procedures will be sent closer to the start of camp.

If you need to pick up your child during camp hours, please notify us the day before by submitting an early pick-up request form at: cgirochester.com/early This will allow us to have your child ready promptly.

SWIMMING    
On swim days, your child should bring: A bathing suit, Towel, Robe or long T-shirt, Water shoes. 
Mini GI should bring swim gear every day. The older divisions swim days are indicated by a blue or red swim icon on the trip schedule.
During the first week of camp, pick-up times may be slightly later to accommodate swim scheduling. Additional details will be communicated before camp begins.


COMMUNICATION    
Please read all camp emails and text notifications carefully, as they contain important updates and information throughout the summer.

CAMP SHIRTS    
For safety purposes, all campers must wear their camp T-shirts on trip days. The trip schedule will also be published in the weekly camp newsletter. Camp shirts may be ordered online at: chabadrochester.com/campshirt

MEDICAL FORMS    
Please submit all medical forms to the camp office before June 20. Medical forms can be downloaded here:
cgirochester.com/medicalform. Forms may be mailed or faxed to: 1-877-569-3887.

LUNCHES    
Children should bring their own dairy or pareve lunch (no meat), along with at least two snacks and a drink.
Please label lunch boxes, bags, and containers clearly with your child’s name. All food sent to camp must have a reliable kosher certification. Please note that refrigeration is not available. Ice packs or “blue ice” are recommended to keep lunches cold.

CLOTHING & LOST ITEMS    
To help prevent loss, please label all of your child’s belongings with their name.
A lost-and-found box will be maintained at camp for unlabeled items. If something is misplaced, please notify a counselor or director promptly so we can help recover it as quickly as possible.

PAYMENTS    
All payment arrangements must be completed with the camp office before camp begins.

SUNSCREEN WAIVER    
Monroe County requires parents to complete a waiver in order for staff members to assist campers with sunscreen application. The online sunscreen waiver can be completed at: cgirochester.com/sunscreen

CAMP PHOTOS    
Camp photos will be posted online throughout the summer at: cgirochester.com/campphotos Password:cgirocs    
Photos will also be shared via WhatsApp bunk group statuses.
